The Arms Collection

This collection of the Museum of Polimlje consists of weapons characteristic for the late 19th and early 20th century: rifles, revolvers and pistols with the fire control system.

Rifles are represented with: ‘’Moskovka’’, Austrian and ‘’Stayer’’, Italian rifles ‘’Carcano’’, ‘’BERETA GARDONE’’, Turkish rifles ‘’Berdan’’ and ‘’Mauser’’, hunting rifles and two machine guns- ‘’Breda’’ and ‘’Browning’’.

The collection of Montenegrin gasser guns stands out of the guns.

There are several Italian revolvers in this collection (manufactured by ‘’Bernardelli Gardone’’), military-state revolver ‘’Browning’’, ‘’Smith & Wesson’’, NAGANT, American COLT pocket percussion, ‘’Mauser-Werke’’.

Light mine thrower is also exhibited.

A large number of cold weapons and firearms, from yatagans (a type of Ottoman knife) and sabres to flintlocks and cartridge-based firearms represent a special group within this collection.
